You can use the promo rendering to highlight important content on your page, for example, to promote videos of your products or an upcoming event, or to point to the latest jobs on the careers page.

The promo rendering renders a field from another page and works as a placeholder for other renderings. Promo renderings use their own data source items and are managed from Sitecore:

Sitecore\Content\Tenant\Site\Data\Promos

By default, the promo data source items contain a text field, an image, and a link. The promo rendering can have various rendering variants. The default rendering variant contains the fields from the data source item and renders a placeholder. This placeholder can contain additional renderings.

To add the promo rendering:

1. In the Experience Editor, from the toolbox, in the Page Content group, click Promo and drag it to the page.
2. In the Select the Associated Content dialog box, click the content item that you want and click OK.
3. Optionally, click a rendering variant, for example, Extensible Promo.
4. In the Styles field, select a style, for example, Promo Hero.
